What is Core Web Vitals Checker?

Core Web Vitals are three user experience metrics โ€” LCP, INP, and CLS โ€” that Google uses as direct search ranking signals since 2021. LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) measures how quickly the main content of a page loads. INP (Interaction to Next Paint) measures responsiveness to user clicks, taps, and key presses across the entire page lifecycle. CLS (Cumulative Layout Shift) measures visual stability by quantifying unexpected layout shifts. In March 2024, Google officially replaced FID (First Input Delay) with INP as the responsiveness metric. To pass Google's Core Web Vitals assessment, all three metrics must be in the Good range. Enter your scores from PageSpeed Insights or Chrome DevTools Lighthouse to instantly see which thresholds you meet โ€” no server required, runs entirely in your browser.

How to Use

  1. 1
    Get your scores
Go to PageSpeed Insights (pagespeed.web.dev), enter the URL you want to analyze, and note down the LCP (in seconds), INP (in milliseconds), and CLS (decimal) values from the Core Web Vitals section.
  2. 2
    Enter the values
Drag the sliders or type values directly into the number inputs, including decimal precision. Values beyond the slider max (LCP > 6s, INP > 600ms) can still be entered in the number fields โ€” the slider will pin to max while the rating uses your actual input.
  3. 3
    Check your ratings
The Good / Needs Work / Poor badge next to each metric updates instantly. Check the Overall card at the bottom of the results grid โ€” all three must be Good for a passing score.
  4. 4
    Apply improvement tips
Read the context-aware tips that appear based on your overall rating. Use the share button to send results to your team or client for discussion and next-step planning.
