The Metal Weight & Area Calculator is a field-ready tool for fabrication, plant, and steel construction sites that need instant weight, paint area, and cost estimates for material orders. How to Use

    Select shape
    Tap a shape from the icon grid โ€” round bar, pipe, H-beam, plate, etc. For H-beams, C-channels, and angles, choose a KS standard from the dropdown to auto-fill all dimensions.

    Enter dimensions
    Fill in the required dimensions in mm and the length in meters. Select a material, enter loss rate for cutting waste, and optionally enter unit prices to get cost estimates.

    Review results
    Check the SVG cross-section diagram for the shape, then read the unit weight, total weight, paint area, and estimated costs. Tap "Add to basket" to add to the order list.

    Copy order sheet
    After adding multiple materials to the basket, tap "Copy Order Sheet" to copy a formatted order with all items, total weight (including loss), and total cost to your clipboard.
